		<description>Not sure I like .gay being the choice, as it puts more emphasis on the TIBLG community than say .bi (which may or may not already exist), or .queer or .glbt or... but it is a step in the right direction in my mind.

		<description>I think the biggest hurdle here is that ICANN (ICANN.org) has already indicated they don&#039;t want to regulate content or enter politics.  They consider themselves an international body, not subject to the rules of any particular nation, most of whom can only regulate domains that they sponsor (i.e. .uk for United Kingdom and .us for United States).

This was especially evident when they flatly declined .xxx domains.  They considered it content regulation and bordered far too much on politics.

That being said, if this does go through, wanna bet there&#039;s going to be a bidding war on im.gay ?</description>
